Meet our Team

Dr Scott Snellgrove BVSc Qld (1986)

Dr Snellgrove graduated from University of Qld in 1986 and also worked as a student at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. After graduation he worked in mixed practice near the Blue Mountains West of Sydney for two years. He then left to work in the UK for the next 12 years until 2000, treating various species from rats to rabbits, hedgehogs to hamsters and birds to badgers. He has been principle Vet at Sinnamon Park since its establishment in 2003. Veterinary interests include orthopaedics and general surgery, dentistry, nutritional and herbal medicine. Dr Snellgrove is also happy to treat small mammals, avians and other exotic cases.

Other interests include swimming and open water competition, tennis and guitar picking. Pets include two dogs, two cats, two children (but only one wife).



Dr Angie Armstrong BVSc Qld (2008)

Dr Armstrong graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008. Since then she has been practicing in small animal clinics in Brisbane. She has both a keen interest in canine and feline medicine and surgery. Her family consists of her husband Doug and four furry babies, two Maltese dogs named Sasha and Isabella and two cats Oscar and bailey. Her other interests include Crossfit and nutrition and spending time with friends and family.






Nurses

Teresa Castorina

Teresa is an experienced Vet nurse who works part-time as our practice manager. Widely knowledgeable. Interests include oriental cats and management. Favourite species - cat










Jacqui Dale

Jacqui Dale is a very experienced nurse who has worked with Scott previously and also ran the Vet/Petshop in Springfield.











Sandy Herkes

Sandy, our Vet Nurse, has gone on maternity leave.












Julie Franklin (BApSc)

Julie graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009 with a degree in Applied Science majoring in Veterinary Technology. She presently owns two dogs, a labrador named Toulow and a golden retreiver named Jazz, as well as two cats called Puddy and Sooty. She has always loved animals and enjoys their company and exercising her dogs in the park. She chose a career as a Veterinary Technologist so that she could care for and help animals in need.

Julie passed her microchip course requirements and is now a licensed microchipper.

Her other interests include camping, mountain bike riding, reading and spending time with her friends.




Shara Dale

Shara, Jacqui's daughter, is undertaking her nurse training and has previous petshop experience.











Fabian Trefny

Fabian is a Science graduate who is now studying his third year Vet Science, after passing his first year exams with flying colours. Fabian has a passion for animals working part-time in the pet shop and assisting in the vet surgery. Favourite species - marsupials.
