Interesting Case

We have had plenty of challenging cases this season already which seem to be following a “Lord of the Rings” theme.

First "Legolas" the cat required an external orthopaedic fixation device attached by Dr Scott after an unlucky car accident. He really nearly was leg-less!

Later "Smeagol" the Whippet presented semi-collapsed with a "mystery illness". After ruling out a snake bite, subsequent blood testing revealed a rather rare case of Addisons disease. This potentially life threatening deficit in the adrenal gland is the "great pretender" and mimics lots of other diseases. Diagnostically challenging but thankfully readily treated. A lovely dog and no doubt she is "The Precious" to her owner.










Wildlife

The Water Dragon whose tail we amputated after it was run over is doing well
and back in his old haunt near the Riverwalk near New Farm.
